Why meaningful work is so important to us

The pandemic is prompting serious self-reflection as people contemplate the quality and meaning of their jobs and lives.

The last 18 months have changed the way businesses and individuals interact with each other across industries and in personal relationships. It has also changed the way clients, employers and policymakers view tax practitioners, shining a light on the dedication and skill of our community and how critical the tax environment is to the way society operates. For many within the tax profession it has meant a change in perspective, as they reimagined their responsibilities, role in our community and career journey.

At this networking breakfast, learn about the importance of experiencing work as positive, purposeful, and significant. Hear how a panel of experienced and inspiring professionals have responded to recent challenges and look forward with a focus on purpose. Discussion points include:

  • How the pandemic has caused society to reflect and what that means for each of us and our team
  • How challenges have helped us clarify our purpose and what it means to be a tax advisor
  • The opportunities, insights and inspirations creating clarity during trying times
  • The importance of “mattering” and how to make work more meaningful (an essential leadership skill)
  • How do we transform purpose into real-world impact for our staff, ourselves and our clients.
