The Taxation Institute of Australia would like to congratulate the Government in addressing the long running problem of Australians with self managed superannuation funds losing their retirement benefits where they become non-resident through off-shore postings. Nevertheless we do have some concerns with the measures as announced and would like to draw your attention to these.
