This submission concerns representations that have been made to the Federal Court suggesting an amendment to Order 52B(5) of the Federal Court Rules to the effect that taxpayers should file a Statement of Facts Issues and Contentions before the Commissioner files his. It is the strong view of the Taxation Institute that no change to the rules is required or necessary.
