We refer to our submission dated 2 November 2006 addressed to Mr James Green regarding the Amatek and Westpac cases, and also to your recent discussions with Peter McMahon of Ernst Young relating to Practice Direction 78.1 - Securities 'Quoted on the Market operated by a Recognised Stock Exchange' - Stapled Securities.  We would lik to seek clarification on the operation of the Duties Act 2001 (Qld) (the 'Act') as a result of the release of the Practice Direction.
