At a time when the personal assets of a professional are potentially more vulnerable than ever, the Australia Taxation Office is continuing to expand its review of existing service trust arrangements of accountants and legal practitioners.

The review is currently taking the form of a survey of a number of legal and accounting partnerships. The survey requests detailed information about the use of the service trust, its structure, commerciality and mark-ups.
