When thinking about this subject the conclusion I reached was that although the tax environment has changed in many ways over the last 30 thirty years, so far as the taxation of property is concerned the changes, with one or two notable exceptions have been few. This presentation raises some of those issues and considers some of the issues that arise when considering the accounting for such matters in the context of taxation.
