Part of the Breakfast Club series, this event was also held on the 5th of August 2008 at Swissotel Sydney.

Australian investors are increasingly looking offshore for investment opportunities, but the complexity of navigating local tax issues, and the flow-on to their Australian tax returns, remains a major issue for most.

With increased ATO scrutiny in this area, are you sure you are treating foreign investments correctly? Are you ready for the major changes to foreign tax offset and foreign loss rules which start from 1 July this year?

This event considered the major tax issues that arise from passive offshore innvestments. Additionally a tax update was given.
