With the focus of the recent federal election naturally on federal taxes, state-based taxes such as stamp duty have been flying somewhat under the radar. This event revisited the current state of play in respect of stamp duty in a corporate setting, including:
  • abolition timetable for various heads of stamp duty
  • revenue collections: stamp duty vs other taxes
  • current stamp duty issues.
