ATO: The Inevitable Interaction

Source: QLD

Published Date: 17 Aug 2016

Once the business is established, there would almost certainly be interaction with the ATO. With increasing ATO audit activities in different areas, this event provided practical insights into the ATO's compliance framework, how audits are conducted and what is involved in objecting to an ATO decision or tax assessment. This session will also provide an overview of the tax policy development and administration approaches, and will revisit the private ruling process and how to use various ATO publications such as ATO IDs, which provide very useful guidance to tax practitioners.
