In this paper the author looks at the various restrictions and prohibitions contained in the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) (SIS) legislation, which constrain the trustee or trustees of a superannuation fund in their investments, focusing mainly on the small excluded, or 'mum and dad' superannuation funds.
